Warning:  your query may bring out some harsh (but probably funny) remarks from the boardsters.

But to answer:  rumors of a "Hfstival" later in year, but Pollstar lists an October date at the Club

this is true; its part of their "intimiate club tour" to apparently promote their new record.

But don't you dare make fun of their unknown music, because then they get really whiny and defensive.

They aren't bad.  Last show I saw of them at the club was quite good.  Nice guys still.

Hey, say what you want about Good Charlotte, but they've kept the sweet and holy torch of punk burning for years and stand miles apart from the posers on the radio today.  To see them in an intimate setting like the 9:30 Club is going to be the chance of a lifetime for me.  Anyone who wants to gain a clue about what the real deal is will be at this show.  Personally, it means a great deal to me.  After seeing Green Day and Rancid back in the heyday of the early 90's, my punk rock Hajj culminates on October 21.  For the Holy Trinity shall be complete.  Thank you 9:30.

Correction, they are "pop punk". To use the term "punk" to describe them is a misnomer.
