There's a place called Milton Keynes just north of London...that place is also a planned community, unfortunately it was planend by British architects so you can imagine what an abortion it is....it does have a great outdoor concert venue though.."Milton Keynes Bowl" I saw Bowie with The (English) Beat and The Icicle Works both as support in 1982 or thereabouts. What a great day it was, and I fell in love with a nurse from London but never got her phone number...wonder what she's doing now...*ponders while rubbing chin*

I wasn't too into The Dears. The singer's voice struck me the wrong way. I loved Stars, though! For me, the live setting brought out the full orchestrations and harmonies. And some of the tunes rocked out. I was only sorry they didn't sing Heart. Ah well. I look forward to seeing them again. I only stayed for a few songs of BSS. I was just so exhausted and couldn't manage being on my feet any longer.

It is like that, which actually pisses me off, especially as I've gotten quite an earful on why 'faggot' is so offensive.  I've been told it derives from the term faggot, a bundle of burning sticks, because they used to burn homosexuals....

But, as you said, they say it all the time...

Did anybody notice that the lead singer of Stars said "Washington Social Club is my favorite DC band since the Minutemen."

Since when were the Minutemen a DC band?

I didn't hear the Minutemen part because I started hooting at hollering at "WSC is my favorite DC band..."

Actually bags, if I was gay I'd find "queer" much more offensive than "fag"...and fag is really only a US term..."poof" is probably the most common term in Britain.
