That's what I figured, and the reasoning for my 7:00 doors 8:00 show comment. I'm going with that.

Looks like everyone hates DAR. They need to stop having concerts. I was so mad I had to see Pixies there.

well, it looks like there are seats.. that means for me I am not going either.. besides that I just got into Modest Mouse so I need to listen to the older records first until I am going to see them. looks like I am going to wait, too..

playing devil advocate... and the alternatives to DAR are?  besides the various Gyms/Arenas in the area, the odd show at the Warner...  how big is the new Strathmore venue and how will rock shows sound there.  DAR gets used in part because its calendar farther in advance than  Patriot Center.  Merriweather could be used as alternative for only pavallion shows.

i'm to tired to proof read...

 rewrite.

promoters can book shows at DAR farther in advance because it doesn't block its schedule awaiting the annoucement of sporting event schedules like the Patriot center does for the teams that play there.

 better?

So

The Music Center at Strathmore - capacity 1976
 Constitution Hall - Capactiy 3700

That equals 1700 people moaning about not being able to get tickets to see <insert flavor of month to big for 9:30 and to small for Patriot Center>

Instead of a large venue in Philly, Modest Mouse are playing 2 nights at Electric Factory. Would that have been a possiblity at 9:30?
