well, the only thing i've been to at DAR thus far has been a high school graduation...so...

i'm hoping it's not too bad.  modest mouse should play a great set regardless, right?!

I'd rather go to Nation than DAR. At least it's meant to have concerts

what about bender? seems to comparable in size, has seats if folks want to sit down, a big area for general admission. i haven't been to a show there in ages, so i don't know about the sound, but it can't be much worse than DAR, right?

No, it's meant to be a dance club.  Man, 60% of that place has shitty, shitty sight lines.

well Nation isn't a consideration as it not the size of DAR... and Bender can't any better than for rock shows acoustic wise... so does Consitution Hall have a lousy reputation for Classical Music or is it just rock shows it has a bad rep for...

you may complain about dar up there (and i hate the venue) but we don't have any venues down here (richmond) that is around the size of the 930 club anymore.

well, the show was great.
event staff = a little anal, but otherwise, they played great.  camper was great, too.

i just...i really don't like sit down concerts, i can't get into the music as much.  i stood up a little but sat down because i didn't want to be "that guy."  then i couldn't see because the dude in front of me stood up, sat on my friends lap the whole time, and then eventually we just got up regardless for the encore.

 it was good, though!

i had really perfect "seats", tho' we didn't sit, and I have to say, I found much of the concert rather boring.  The guys didn't move or interact on stage, the crowd couldn't get into it because of the damn seats, and the long between-song pauses just really kind of killed anything they got going.

truth be told, it wasn't until they played Tiny Cities that I was glad I went.  But Tiny Cities alone was so good that it made me feel like the show was worth it.

This was the rare time that I enjoyed having a seat. I probably was not suppose to be out at a concert anyway so being able to sit down ever so often was a good thing. As for the show, it was pretty much what I expected. They played mostly all of the new album, which I assume a large portion of the people wanted to hear. What up with all the people who bought a t-shirt and then put it on right there? It was like a sea of green shirts in my section.

I was siting in the upper level and I would say that within a song or two after Float On (The played another song from the newest album immediately after Float On) that I probably saw somewhere between 20 and 30 people leave.
