Probably quite similar to going shopping anywhere in the city. A little slice of hell.

I'm amazed how often I smell weed as I'm biking around town these days. Seems like every couple of minutes, I get a fresh new blast of it, including in the morning when I'm on my way to work. It is a burden I am willing to shoulder.

In less than one year of legalizing and taxing marijuana, Colorado received nearly $70 million in tax revenue. And much of this money is going to school construction projects. In the first five months of 2015 we brought in $13.6 million for schools -- more than we did in all of 2014.

To put that in perspective, over the same amount of time, the state only raised about $42 million from taxes on alcohol. Since regulating marijuana, Colorado has freed police resources to focus on real crimes, created thousands of jobs, increased tax revenue for schools, and saw no increase in marijuana use among young people. As our Governor John Hickenlooper put it, ?The people who were smoking marijuana before legalization still are. Now, they?re paying taxes.?

wind and solar power is the wave of the future.  so is weed power.  billionaires will be made, off the production / commercialization of it.  I remember the times way back when, when weed was still considered underground and subversive, and so cool, it alone could sell a piece of entertainment that it was apart of.  now, its just, ehh, yeah and?

There was an interesting story in today's Post that the City Council decided to allow weed smoking on rooftop bars, sidewalk patios, and any place designated as a private club. After about 30 minutes though, I guess they reversed it? Whatever the case, that's good news.

Sidebar note: The other night I was walking the dog and hitting a portable bowl when I walked right by a police car in which two cops were sitting with their windows rolled down. I looked at them, they looked at me, I kept walking, this is 2016.
