Nope. It was sort of a joke. Those were the Wilco passwords. Don't know the Hives passwords or any other passwords. Appears I deleted any emails I got from them. Sorry.

sorry to resurrect a bad thread, but had to add...

i was home taking a nap on Sun afternoon and found the (insert corporate logo here) Smash on the tele.  The Hives were playing.

Now, I've never seen them live before.  I know their music and it's OK.  But I've heard folks say they suck live.

Based on what was on my tele, saying they suck is a wild overbilling of their talent.  Man, the lead singer would do better just reciting the lyrics than making such bad attempts at being nearly in tune.  And you know it says something about a band when they're so un-interesting on stage that the producers are forced to use camera tricks like moving shots or delays to make them look interesting.  Wow did they suck.

On that note-- anyone wanna buy two Hives tickets??

I agree with poorlulu...watching a band on TV is a different experience from seeing them live. The Hives are great showmen and really know how to work a crowd...that's something that won't translate well on television. Kinda like how going to a baseball game is fun, but watching it on TV sucks.  :)

Yeah...I thought they sounded pretty good at the Cat...If you like the way they sound on record then I think you would have at least enjoyed their set that night.  And they are good entertainers...Pele's schtick does wear a little thin on me after a while, but I enjoyed them enough to go see them again.  Plus I'm looking forward to Reigning Sound and Sahara Hotnights.  Pretty good bill if you ask me.
