Ya. I'm sad to hear that. A true New Orleans legend. I knew that his house was in a completely destroyed neighborhood. Who knows? He could be alive somewhere. It's just too early to tell. What about other performers like Dr. John and what not?

Well, I wouldn't worry about him drowning, he should be able to float quite easily.

Alex Chilton, Allen Toussaint were also sticking it out in places that got flooded, I don't think their status is known.  I'm very happy about Fats though

Fats Domino told his daughter that he stayed because he made it through the last one so he'll make it thought this one.......Well, I guess he didn't lie, he did make it.....barely. I guarentee he'll leave next time.

What about  the guys from Better than Ezra?  I know that NO was their home base and that they were all from there.  I thought they all still lived there as well, because they often played clubs down there on a regular basis when not on the road.
