I'd be interested in the first day, but will be on vacation then.

 Enjoy.

I'll be presenting at a conference that week. Probably the only thing I can think of that would be less fun than going to Lollapalooza.   :(

I'm going the first day. PJ Harvey, Sonic Youth, Morrissey, Modest Mouse? That sounds like putting up with the traffic and crap. PJ and SY were the ones that clinched it for me. I'm going to do my best to get pit tickets or at least the first few rows. If I can't get those then I'll probably think twice.

I think I may at least get tickets to the first day. I haven't decided about Day 2...

Just bought tickets...

Looks like there is only inside the Pavilion (titled Orchestra) and the Lawn.  No assigned seating.

At Merriweather they have traditionally been pretty militant about people staying in their seats and out of the aisles.  I wonder how a GA show will go over.

I saw the travelling version of the Newport Folk Festival at Merrieweather a few years ago (Wilco, Lucinda Williams, Violent Femmes, Nanci Griffith, Rufus Wainright, Jimmie Dale Gilmore, Mark Eitzel, etc). It was general admission, with two stages. Cool setup. Not much of a problem moving from one place to another.

She told me to stop being such a fag, so I shut up...
