For the cycling fans.....
« on: April 19, 2005, 09:37:00 am »
....this story broke my cycling heart. He was my favourite rider, and now he's just another cheat. I have a feeling Lance should've retired after the last tour because I don't think he's going to win this one. BTW, everyone should read his biography "It's not about the bike" even if you don't like cycling, because it really isn't about the bike. I didn't like him till I read the book, but now he's one of the few people I truly admire. (by the way, Lance owned a Mercier!!!!  ;)  )

 Hamilton gets two-year suspension

Olympic cycling champion Tyler Hamilton has been banned for two years following positive tests for blood doping.

awwww, Tyler.  Bringing a good name to our sport.

I've always liked Jan Ullrich, myself.  But he's gettin old now.  Sad, sad.  He should have won a Tour.  Damn Lance.  Damn him!

But he is a drug taker too, right?

Isn't that why he didn't compete in the tour one year?

I wish Lance had done a year of going for the spring classics.

they're ALL drug takers, really. the difference is that Lance's drugs were cancer-related and thus OK.

thank god cycling's not popular enough to warrant the congressional dog-and-pony show, though.  can you imagine?  that would be fun.

Although I admire Armstrong for his battle with cancer, I can't really accept him as a true champion. Yes he's won the tour six times....but what the *uck when it's tho only race he trains for. The true champions, like Merckx, won the tour while winning other big races during the season.

But in the modern era that is not the way to win the tour. Its been that way for ages.

I always thought that Lance has an unfair advantage as he is more comfy in the saddle carrying less downstairs.

I dont think the weight advantage is considerable.

Clearly you dont understand. I have never heard a guy refer to a saddle as a ball buster.

Most of your weight should be suspended by your Ischial Tuberosities, the "sit bones"  <img src="http://www.agrabilityproject.org/assistivetech/tips/tractorseats_files/Ischialtuberosities.gif" alt=" - " />

agreed.  but i'm saying that women can feel their rides, too, esp. when riding on a certain more sensitive area.

 hence, the cunt buster:

This is what we were talking about. Remember?

Guys do not sit on their balls. hence being a guy with two balls, one ball or a eunuch should have no effect on bicycle comfort.
