Did you get a ticket?  I thought you asked very nicely, and added the PM option -- I hope you did!

Honestly, before I saw Keane & The Killers in concert at the HFS Nutcracker, I wasn't that big of a fan.  (I only went to the Nutcracker to see Velvet Revolver.)  I like Keane much better than The Killers.

Kosmo, why didn't you take the password down?  (Because it was up on other blogs?).  Just curious...
wasn't in the mood to give people another reason to call me a dork hipster...

You elitist pricks. I was tired of seeing all of you unnecessarily pretentious twats mock and scoff at an individual who simply wanted to purchase tickets to a show. I'm so glad the blogosphere (e.g. DCist and DCeiver) has broken this effort to keep information regarding 9:30 club sale dates tightly guarded. The password for this show has already been blogged by numerous sites; it's available to anyone who wants it. So why resist and deliberately try to make someone's life harder by refusing to give up the info? Isn't this forum's intent to create a community of fans? By keeping this type of information to yourself and a few minimum wage garnering pseudo-hipsters, you're just being divisive and self-interested. Try exhibiting some simple human decency in the future.

Thanks, nomad, for sticking up for me.  I find it actually amusing that everyone who was so against putting the password out there actually hates all the bands that are playing at said concert anyway.

I'm sorry if this ruined your day   :(

whats so tightly guarded about an email annoucement list anyone can sign up for?  or signing up for the volume newsletter which can also be picked up at the club or other places.

as most of the regulars will tell you i have no problem providing presale passwords via pm to those who ask nicely...

it rubs us regulars the wrong way everytime someone comes asking for a presale password particularily one sent out by the club... do all the name calling you want but thats how at least i feel.

the quiet presale is a new wrinkle that people are coming to terms with.

presale and associated passwords are bs anyway...

The password was in the 9:30 e-mail which came last night, which was several hours after the person asked for it.  In other words, I don't think most people knew what the password was at the time it was requested.

Secondly, you are right - it is available to all.  The person signed up for the e-mail, received the e-mail, and received the password.

I'm not sure why this gets you so frothy at the mouth.

i don't work for the club and thus have little inside info so i get my info like the rest of the people on this board...  where the password that was so widely being posted came from i have no idea and would not consider it official without the source. which could have been a bands email whatever...

 seriously take a chill pill...
