Yes, that's right Dupek, the Hawklord, Harvey Bainbridge, is playing yet again in the area, just one full week after blowing away the fans at The Warehouse Next Door last Friday evening for the Sonic Circuts Festival. Shame if you missed it.
He'll be playing again with Atlanta's Spaceseed who are well worth seeing in their own right. Their guitarist on Fender Stratocaster is one hell of a player! He glides through that guitar with ease and produces all the sounds you would want to hear at any Space Prog show.
And yes, they will be playing Hawkwind songs, and quite well, at that.
Due to the birthday factor, I have a feeling that this will be an extra special show. One that I, unfortantely, can't attend myself. So, go for me Dupek! Call in sick, whatever you have to do. It's a Hawklord and he will be in Baltimore.

SCATTERED PLANETS
Good luck, bad luck, birthday celebrations, psychedelic space art
rock,
avant chamber rock, and crunchy avant prog - it all happens this
weekend at
Orion! We have the rare occasion of two shows on consecutive nights,
Friday
the 13th and Saturday the 14th of October, which will cover a lot of
musical
territory and provide excellent opportunities for out of body
experiences
and creative earplug deployment.
FRIDAY, OCTOBER 13th, 9:00pm
From England comes long time Hawkwind bassist/keyboardist Harvey
Bainbridge
with Atlanta`s Spaceseed to play a special Orion show in support the
release of their new disc, "The Empire of Night", on the Zeta Reticuli label.
This show presents the darker side of psychedelia at it`s best...
great stuff for all the paranoid schizophrenics, UFO-nauts, and conspiracy
freaks
out there that may be secretly wondering... "What`s REALLY going on?"
Strong
drumming, spacey melodic keyboards, and insistent moody guitars -
with just
enough disturbing mind opening lyrics (delivered in Harvey`s unique
and
inimitable style) to get you thinking!
This show will also featrue the delicious talents of viper violinist
Cyndee Lee Rule who last graced the Orion stage with improv crunchers Thee
Maximalists. Its also a bit of a birthday bash for Sharon Rudolph,
who besides being a showcase regular, helped to bring this show to Orion!
***Actually it's a Libran birthday party for John Pack (lead
guitarist for Spaceseed, his birthday is the next day) and Paul Sears
aka limelight specialist)and other Librans, unbirthdayists and star-
truckers as well.
Openning will be Philadelphia spacerockers Scattered Planets who were
one of
the paticipants in the April '04 Fran Walker Benefit Spacerock Fest
here at
Orion.
