The Other "Jefferson Airplane"

She needs to go back to her original band, Grace Slick And The Great Society.
I kind of feel a little sorry for the Mayor. From now on, he'll have to remember to haul that sophmoric attempt at portraiture out of the closet every time she stops over.
On Branson's behalf, I do think it's a pretty good choice of a name considering how and why his airline started and where he's now put in a new flight. Wonder if they will be serving any 'seasoned' burgers onboard? With Electric Kool-Aid, no less.

Rock icon Grace Slick of Jefferson Airplane was on hand Wednesday to dedicate Virgin America Inc.'s new corporate headquarters and an aircraft named after the legendary 1960's band.
Slick joined California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger, San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom and Virgin America Chief Executive Officer Fred Reid for the celebration at San Francisco's International Airport.
The "Jefferson Airplane" is the first of Virgin America's new fleet to be named. The company has invited the public to submit entries to name its other planes.
The airline, expected to bring 1,700 new jobs to the Bay Area, announced last year that it would locate both its operations and headquarters here, after previously saying it would be based out of New York.
Virgin America must receive permission from the federal Department of Transportation before it can begin commercial service.
