You are The Moon And Antarctica by Modest Mouse! You spend a lot of time thinking existentially about how the universe fits together. And you have a God complex too. But you come up with some fascinating ideas.

When SD came out, it was on Virgin, then considered an indie label, before Virgin was sold to EMI.  That's the only thing I can think of...
