i was very excited when i got an email today that said "UCSB Wins Gold". Jason Lezak went to my school which was cool to read (and the fact that his finish was f'ing incredible!).

neither has Ireland, although we came agonizingly close in the K1 slalom (4th) and our boxers are looking fairly good, iirc all 5 have made it through to the quarter finals

I felt both bad for the Irish bloke in the K1 and happy for the competitor from Togo who had the run of his life to take the bronze.
