The funniest Cat Stevens thing I have is that the moderators for the Robbie Fulks board also maintain one and only one other internet chat board...that being the board for Cat Stevens.

That's all I got on the Cat.

Sabbath, Pistols inducted into Rock Hall
Miles Davis, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Blondie also make cut

NEW YORK (AP) -- Black Sabbath, Miles Davis and the Sex Pistols are among five musical legends to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Foundation will hold its induction ceremony March 13 at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel in Manhattan, the organization announced Monday.

Also to be inducted into the class of 2006: 1980s New Wave band Blondie and Southern rockers Lynyrd Skynyrd.

Herb Alpert and Jerry Moss, who founded A&M records in 1962, will receive a lifetime achievement award in the non-performer category.

Inductees into the side-men category will be announced at a later date.

Musicians, industry professionals and journalists vote on the nominations. Artists are eligible to be inducted into the Rock Hall after at least 25 years have passed since their first record was released.

Beck Hansen? I don't think he's eligible for another 10+ years.

i don't get the 25 years thing for the stooges and miles, unless as one of you noted, it's for bitches brew, which is now more than 25 yrs. Are the stooges just being re-nominated?

miles is/was obviously brilliant but not as a rock musician; kind of a shame that someone else didn't get in on that spot, esp. patti smith or the stooges. i have noticed that unlike the sports HoF's, there don't ever appear to be many nominees from previous years (who didn't make the cut) being re-nominated.

oh well, for what it's worth, congrats to the new inductees. hopefully we won't have to suffer thru kelly 'n jack inducting/presenting for their dad's band!

You are very good at finding old threads.  How do you do that without a Search function?  Did you have to wade through pages upon pages?

Didn't Ozzy tell them to go screw themselves when they didn't make it the first few times?  He's such a whore now I bet he'll accept the award that night and be all nice and thankful.  But watch out for Sharon!
