Arcade Fire in NYC
« on: January 05, 2007, 10:41:00 am »
Did anyone score tickets to one of these shows?  I managed to get a pair of tix (the limit) for the Wed. nite show.  Aracde Fire in a church should make for an interesting Valentine's Day.

I received the 'enter confirmation code' screen several times, but I just got dumped back to the purchase tickets screen.  So no... but tickets.com sure did get my hopes up the first few times it happened

anybody got any extras? i'll trade a ticket to Peter Bjorn and John at Mercury Lounge for one. Or just buy one ticket.

 Thanks a lot.

What's the big deal about these shows?  Does the church only hold 20 people?   I don't get what all the fuss is about.

if you really want entertainment, head to craigslist.  people are offering brand new nintendo wii's, their apartment (what?!), etc, etc, etc.

 its wild.

wow.  but according to this post on craigslist, there may be a riot out front when buyers are unable to get their tickets from the scalper

"If you read the webstie carefully, the purchaser will have to enter the venue... So for those who bought 2 tickets thinking they're slick going to pick up the Will Call tickets and dump on someone else... NO DICE!

In order for you to buy a pair.... 2 seperate people must order tickets themselves...

Say a Husband orders with his CC and a wife with her CC... Now the husband can take 1 person in and the wife can take another person in... that's the only way this works... so for those of you that are trying to sell a pair thinking

"Oh I can pick it up at Will Call then give the tickets to someone else"

"TICKETS ARE NON-TRANSFERABLE. The ticket purchaser must enter
 the venue"
Additionally... it says Only complete parties will be admitted. No exceptions. Please DO NOT buy tickets on eBay, Craig's List, etc. YOU WILL NOT BE ADMITTED!

Just a note if you're trying to purchase tickets... make sure your seller knows what he or she is doing.."

Isn't Arcade Fire the same as the Polyphonic Spree?
