Anyone going?  I plan on showing up around 10:15 for BYOP, and heading out immediately afterward to miss She Wants Revenge.

Hmm...BYOP don't go on until 10:30?

 Tempting.

 Probably won't make it, though.

I'll be there...I enjoy She Wants Revenge, so there! I know they're incredibly derivative, and the second album sounds too much like the first to be highly credible, but it's a good show.  You can't deny the music is good Friday night groove time.  For me, at least.

And definitely psyched for Be Your Own Pet, which I bought when I got a ticket to this show.

Kosmo, will look for you!  Not that I know what any of that stuff you listed actually is.

at the movement festival there were pretty young females  handing out Myspace promotional stuff... i.e. a hat, bandanna and one those sleeves to put your iPod in. so as to not risk getting taken off smackies speed dial, i gladly accepted their swag

SWR do put on a good show, but Im over it. Ill see the Virgins and Jemina flail on stage with BYOP, but if my friends dont wanna stick around for SWR I have no problems.

Myspace was one of the sponsors for the Movement festival and were handing it out swag to people attending. I really don't have much use for the stuff so am passing it along to those who might want it instead.

Yep I plan on showing up at 10:20, just in time to miss the Virgins and leaving the same time BYOP leaves the stage.

Nobody likes the Virgins?  I picked up their EP on You Be Betty's suggestion a while ago and liked it.  Looking forward to seeing them.  Also interested in the Switches.  Drama Queen is poptastic and made my best of 2007 mix.

I was hoping to go to this show. I have seen She Wants Revenge at every single show they've done in the DC area. Tonight's the first time I've missed an area appearance from them. I love their live shows. Plus, they're really awesome guys. Last time they were in town (which was at the Black Cat), I had a drink with Adam, which was pretty fun. (Adam is the keyboardist and bass player.)

I think their second album is an improvement (at least the first six or seven tracks are!) compared to their first one. The new EP is pretty great and the title track to it is rather surprising. I think it's cool that they aim to do emotional or meaningful dance music.

Could somebody please let me know what the setlist was? Also, I was curious to know if BYOP played any of their "banned" songs. I would kill to hear "Becky" live.

BYOP played Becky toward the end of their set - I think it was third or fourth before the end - they had about 14 songs on their set list.  They were great, but I had no idea they inspired 13 year old girl aggression.  I thought I was going to die.

SWR sounded great but were boring to watch.  They didn't and don't do encores apparently, so they closed with Tear You Apart.

Good show, and worth the price for 30 minutes (especially since it was a gift card purchase).  I have yet to see these kids headline, but I'd hate to have them open for me.  They tore into their set, and even though the sounds was pretty sub-par, the crowd was loving it.

They played two of their "banned" songs (Becky and Black Hole).  Maybe that's why the gals in the front were freaking out; they were overcome with violent lyrics.
