I was also unaware Kurosawa or Greer Zeller were female either. Perhaps, in retrospect, my true downfall is in being so non-sexist -- so gender-blind, if you will -- that I am unable to determine the gender of people I am talking to. And that is one shortcoming I will make no apologies for.

You should've asked me.  I could've told you with some certainty that Kurosawa was a lady  ;)

Until the Smashing Pumpkins @ 9:30 show, I was under the impression you were a woman.

damn i should have showed up there to see if there were extra tix. tried to get tix to see them tonight at the MOMA but that didnt pan out either. but since my order went through (but then somehow was denied getting tix) i did end up with free passes to the moma.

I am hoping September is still go!

fyi, there weren't any.  there were, however, several dozen people standing outside the venue asking for tickets - on top of the scalpers asking for extras.  chances of getting an extra at cost were very very low.

Gender blind you're calling it now?

Even though your first defense for calling her a bitch was "what's the big deal, xneverwherex is not a female"?

That's not gender blind.  You assumed they were all male, not asexual.  That's pretty sexist if you ask me.  Why didn't you assume they were all female?

I think most people would agree that on the average internet messageboard, there are more males then females, particularly among those who would qualify as "regular" posters of a messageboard. That being the case, if one assumes every unknown user is a male, they mathematically would be more accurate then taking the opposite approach. It's statistical.

I felt awful that night and so did the lead singer whose name escapes me if I remember correctly. The set they played opening for REM was very enjoyable at Merriweather so I figure I'll give them another shot in a club.

As a staunch grammar and syntax enthusiast, I take grave offense at you passing off random words and clauses as sentences, and I simply won't stand for it.

It's a very nice venue, although I warn you, the sound is MUCH better in the balcony or mezzanine then the orchestra pit, particularly the vocals.
