I'm going to Elbow tonight.

Brennser, I was glad to learn that you're DJing for this one!

 :)
Hey, that was pretty cool when Elbow's lead singer gave a shout out to the DJ. Nice job, indeed, Brennser!

P.S. Good show!

Elbow = great show

Agreed.

My buddy mentioned that it didn't seem as crowded as other sold out shows (Wilco).  Is the 'sold out' number the same for each show?

Agreed!

I didn't even know their material that well, and I was really impressed.  If I'd been a diehard fan, that feeling probably would've been heightened.

Elbow concentrated on the last two albums...highlights for me were:

Station Approach, Leaders of the Free World, One Day Like This...

such a great show!

They really are terrific.  I would've liked a few older songs (Fugitive Motel, Any Day Now), but no complaints here.

Jesca Hoop, on the other hand...

Jesca Hoop, on the other hand...

Yeah, can someone explain to me why the audience loved her so much?

For a lot of folks in the audience, this seemed like there second or third show ever, the way they were looking around the 9:30 Club, so maybe it was just the shock of seeing live music...

And way to go on the Djing Brennser...

I chatted to Guy a little in the back bar afterwards and he said he loves Fugitive Motel but the band won't let him play it.....pity as its one of my favorite songs

great set regardless

definitely a lot of 30 and 40 somethings - made a change for me not to feel like the old guy at a gig

I'm assuming it was because Guy Garvey came out ahead of time and told the crowd to be nice to her.

She opened for them last time at 6th & I too.  All I could think was "which member of Elbow is she dating?"

Pretty good show.

Seems as though whenever I don't spend some post-show time in the backbar, one or all of the band members wind up down there. Never fails.

Rule of thumb: Elbow are great pub boys. You will always find them in the bar after the show.

LC! were more enjoyable than I was anticipating.

Tons of infectious energy.

Girls were excellent but that was expected.

Ended up skipping the late show.
