3 Weeks until Revenge of the Sith...
« on: April 28, 2005, 08:53:00 am »
Screw all of you naysayers.  In three short weeks, I'll have nothing to look forward to for the rest of my life (my apologies to my future wife and/or children).

I've already got my planned viewing for the next 21 days laid out.  Multiple viewings of all five other movies, plus the Clone Wars cartoon and (just for you, Flawd) the Ewok Adventures.  I might even throw the Holiday Special in for good measure.

As much as I loathe him (he's nothing but a flesh & blood Comic Book Guy), that's a pretty big endorsement.  I believe he's claimed to only like Empire anyway.  Wish I could read it, but I'm on a strict Star Wars information freeze until May 19th.

Whooooo!!! I personally have become re-invigorated about The Wars (as I likes to call 'em). A friend of mine let me realize that it's ok to relinquish myself to the dork side. Gah!!!! I can wait, I can't wait, I can't wait!!! I feel like a little girl pink tutu and all (am I being literal?). Roll my music bitch!
WHAT?

I also cannot wait for this one, although I probably won't be one of the first wave people going. I imagine this one is going to be the best, a whole lotta good guys will be dying in this one   :D

How wrong you are!  The scene where the Russian guy sings "Berserker" is the best.  Or this one.

rumor has it that Smith will be producing (or at least involved) the Star Wars TV series that starts production next year.

Uptown tickets went on a sale a few days ago online.

Have you ever noticed how Charlize Theron sounds so much like a Star Wars name?

Tax write-off?

Sadly, the record industry has intentionally used this tactic at the artists' expense and waste of time and energy. Worse yet, the company will often end up owning the music so the bands can't even move on with their goods that they created! Lots of the smaller off-shoot labels of the big names were created specifically for this purpose. Sorry but I can't remember exactly which ones that I've often heard and read this about. I'll let GGW do the research.        ;)

I know I've read and heard that it happens in the film industry too. Films will be made and shelved solely so they can write them off of their taxes as losses. It's generally not the filmmakers themselves who are doing this but the industry who supposedly supports them. They use their underlings as tax shelters and write-offs!

The really sickening part is that Reagan had passed some law that many unsold products, including books, records, etc., had to be destroyed. Have no clue how the details work but a friend of mine use to work for such a company and it use to kill him to have to destroy so many books and such. For what it's worth, I would assume that cut-outs are considered sold products. Can't say for sure because, as I said, I have no idea how all of this works.

With that said, I can't imagine that being the case for this film, even if it ends up unintentionally happening this way.
