Pubic shaving and anal stimulation seem to me to be rather common occurrences. Whether they are gross or not is subjective, no?

i think the odd part is that, from what i remember, he kind of brings these subjects up in an unrelated topic.  
 
   also, it is uncommon for to want to hear about shaving/anal habits of someone whom they have never met....unless this is some kind of sex/dating forum now.

 also its interesting to note that among the most open/liberal elements of society [this forum] sex is still taboo and cannot be discussed without it being noticed or seperated out from other topics. if i talked about tax shelters no one would notice but talk about 'personal yard work' and "omg!"
 
 also, my parents were european  and over there there is very little puritanism that is engrained like an emotional scar in the american psyche.
 
 now matter how open we americans r we still show the signs of puritanism, we liv in it, we r constrained by it.

On the flipside, I had a college roommate who would bring something music related into any conversations, no matter what the original conversation was about. This would annoy the shit out of everyone.

 will have to admit that i couldn't quite come of up a response to the old town theatre thread... i.e. what does it have to do with gentrification and who cares where old folks get their entertainment.
 
  personally i think it's a good thing when people continue to use old theaters instead of tearing them down for offices or chain stores.  the number of rotting movie houses in detroit alone is a sad thing.  perservation be damned when it's easier to convert a theatre into a parking structure.
