The Black Eyed Peas will warm up for the Rolling Stones when the "Rolling Stones: Onstage" world tour begins at Boston's Fenway Park in August.

Also rolling with the Stones: Maroon 5, Pearl Jam, the John Mayer Trio, The Tragically Hip and Les Trois Accords, with more opening acts to be announced later, the Stones said Wednesday.

The Black Eyed Peas will open the Aug. 21 and Aug. 23 shows in Boston. Maroon 5 will open the show in Hartford, Conn., Aug. 26 and in Detroit Aug 31. Pearl Jam will handle the Sept. 28 show in Pittsburgh.

The second date in Boston was added because of ticket demand, the Stones said.

The Stones announced the tour earlier this month with a three-song outdoor performance at Lincoln Center in Manhattan that included "Start Me Up."

"We don't plan that this is the last tour, and we certainly don't announce it," 61-year-old Mick Jagger said at a news conference afterward. "We take each tour as it comes."

Dates in North America will continue through December, with performances alternating among stadiums, arenas and smaller venues. Prices will average $100-$105 per ticket. The last Stones tour, in 2002-03, generated $88 million in ticket sales in North America during its first year.

Keith Richards, 61, said money wasn't the point of this return to the road.

"You can have the money," he told a journalist asking about the potential windfall from the tour.
