 Seriously, though, if I had an option to call in my order or go to the club/ticket outlet, in addition to online, I could save a few bucks too.

here a thought... why doesn't tickets.com hire 500 people to answer the phone for every 9:30 show of course making the service charge even higher.  or they could spend vasts amounts of money to ensure that it tells people quicker the show is sold out. all driving up service charges...

I placed a bid on Ebay for $120 for 2 tix and got out bid in 1 minute. The person selling the tix is in Chicago. Chicago. I live 10 minutes from DC and can't get tix. Something doesn't seem right.

Scalpers suck...I'm waiting to hear back from a friend if they wanna go, but may have an extra ticket I'd sell at face. Will find out next week.
 
 I think they should restrict the buying to people in the local area...not sure how, but I'm sure someone is creative enuff to figure it out

I guess all the frustration goes to scalpers.  I really cant believe how many things I've already seen on Ebay and Craigslist.  Just sucks.  I needed 4 tix, but can handle 2(looks like sister and her friend wont go  :p ).  Is there any other reasonable places than Ebay or Craigslist?  400%+ markup is all i've seen, or close to it.

Atleast with ticketmaster they give you wait time. This just says "hey ill refresh in 30 seconds and give you the same screen".  
 
 I sat in that virual room from 4:50 until 5:50 until it finally gave me an option of how many tickets I wanted.
 
 I needed one ticket, and couldnt even put that in - the system needs to be fixed.  
 
 I understand the bands management has some say in how tickets are distributed, but as the venue that is holding the concert, you too need to hold some responsibility.

Here is my story.....Even better than anyones....
 I will start this e-mail by saying I am very upset and I am in communication with a couple of my local newspapers (Washington Post and the Washington Times) regarding my mistreatment by your phone representatives today:
 
 I called (703) 218-6500 to purchase tickets for Audioslave, at the same time I was trying to get tickets online and attempting to process an order but was stuck in que. I spoke with Norm, Rep #406 at tickets.com. According to him I connected with him at 4:59:30, 30 seconds before tickets went on sale. I said I wanted tickets to Audioslave at 930 club. He said sorry but you connected 30 seconds before tickets go on sale we cannot sell you the tickets you have to call back. I said hold on, WAIT its 5:00 now??... He put me on hold, and I got his supervisor, David #517, 3 minutes later. By then tickets were sold out... He restated want Norm had said that tickets.com has an agreement with 930 club that if a customer connects early before tickets go on sale they cannot sell the customer those tickets. I said this is kind of outrageous, wouldn't you say? 30 seconds, but I was processing a ticket order online!?!?... Transferred again to Hector, Rep #513,... and he restated what Norm said that a customer cannot be put on hold to purchase tickets if they are online early.. Again, I stated 30 seconds, and the fact that official time said 5:00:30, so I was not sure which time they go by. I conferenced in with the 930 club. The guy that answered did not know anything about such an agreement. After I got off the phone with 930 Hector changed his tune and actually said that is there agreement with all venues, not just 930.

mm so i accidentally went to 9:30 a few minutes before 5pm today to get tickets to a different show.  there were abt 20 people in line, which i thought was weird so we asked what was up and they said audioslave...  sounds like ya'll would've been better served if you would've gone in person : )

Quit crying bagelboy and the rest of you whiners.  9:30 club or tickets.com don't have anything to do with you not getting tickets to this show.  There's just not enough tickets to go around.  Period, end of story.
 
 And get over yourself bagelboy.  I can just see it now on the front page of the post.  "Fan Mistreated by Underpaid Phone Operators in Audioslave Ticket Scandal".  Why stop with the local rags....How bout Wall Street Journal?  60 minutes...seriously I think Ed Bradley would be really interested in this story.  
 
 That first paragraph is about the funniest thing I've ever read.  Seth....you better call your lawyers to prepare for the slander case against the Post!!!!

so here is a novel approach... accept the fact that you were trying to get a ticket for a very popular band in a small venue and it didn't work out this time around.  move on with ones life and hope they come back soon.  since i don't work for the club, this is my own opinion and does not reflect anyone else opinion.
