Wouldn't miss it.  I'm surprised it's not sold-out yet.  Tickets have been on sale for a few weeks already.

I would be there in a hearbeat, but I'm off to France that day (I know, don't cry for me Argentina).

Ian had throat issues, but was a bit of a primadonna and after a couple of tries walked off the stage. I don't know how he thought he could pull it off. I saw them 2 nights earlier in Philly and it was brilliant. Unfortunately, a lot of folks probably now think they're a bunch of wankers and that they suck live, but in all honesty they're one of the best live bands for your money. Especially when they play stuff like "Do It Clean" or "Loose" by the Stooges. Echo to me is still one of the coolest bands. Not that I'm buddies with Will either, but he's always been super friendly to me.

what kind of ratio of new/old songs do you think we'll hear?  i have their greatest hits and absolutely love it, but if they're playing all stuff from their new albums i'm not sure if i'd want to go ... any ideas?

I have (well a friend has) my ticket for the echo show. it happens that i ended up booking tix to be in california at that time (thanksgiving and all coming up), so i wont be able to go. instead ill be seeing the dandy warhols in SF. if anyone ends up needing a ticket, let me know as i'll need to get rid of this.

sorry novadancer for having to bail. cant believe i F***ed up your birthday plans  :(   but at least you wont have to see the dandy warhols who i know you love  ;)

Nearly all old stuff, they always tend to do about 4 songs off whatever their latest record is (at most) and then play old stuff. There's heavy emphasis on older album tracks, stuff of Crocodiles, Heaven Up Here, Ocean Rain. Definitely pick those LPs up for some classic Echo stuff. Crocodiles is still a favorite, but Ocean Rain is great too. I highly recommend going to see them!

his voice was really crapping out at the lancaster show.  i didn't notice it nearly much in philly as in lancaster, though.
