Merriweather Booty Call
« on: September 27, 2005, 08:31:00 am »
A summer of fun at Merriweather courtesy I.M.P. ends with two show today and Thursday.  As always be sure to swing by 932 for all your (pre)show drinking and entertainment needs.

Wont be DJing tonight for The White Stripes/The Shins/M. Ward show but will be hanging out most of the evening at 932.

Thursday, a show many people have been waiting all summer for, Oasis/Jet/Kasabian will have me DJing 932. Am planning on a Manchester vs Liverpool set, sprinkled with some cease fire related tunes.  Although a Birmingham vs Glasgow DJ set would produce some interesting results.  Black Sabbath and The Delgados for instance.

I'll try and come see you during Jet since I don't want to be anywhere near the stage at that point.

Do you know set times? Oh, wait, I should probably ask in FAQ.

The 932 DJs don't spin while the acts are on stage...

I figured as much, but I thought you all might make an exception since it was Jet.

Yeah, I really wish Kasabian was going on second so I wouldn't have to leave work early just to get there to see them, but oh well. I suppose I can scream for "Lust for Life" and AC/DC songs all during Jet's set.

Just to show y'all how utterly uncool and unhip I am, I am actually stoked to see Jet (and Kasabian). Oasis is a band I could do without and will probably pass time during their set in the 932. Look forward to hearing the tunes in the back.

I'll be there tonight. Please someone tell me how to get to the mall from 95N or 295N since I don't want to deal with the parking lot.

And the mall has no problem with us parking there? Do they tow cars if they're there after a certain time?

you might want to pose this question in the FAQ section, i've never seen an official stance on this... although people do it all the time and i doubt they could tow cars especially if the movie theater is still open

HA ha ha -- that was great.  And true, Koz should spin, at least during Jet's ballads...

i have been to Merriweather several dozen times (including once this year already) and have NEVER parked in Merriweather parking.  i have only parked in the mall.. every show i've seen there, and have never been towed, or seen anyone towing.

i even left my car there overnight after the Curiosa show last year and it was still there the next morning.
