i'm planning on it, but we'll see if the weather dissuades me. i'd be surprised if they hit the stage before 11, RNRH usually runs a half hour or so later than what they shoot for.

And, as an aside, I'm glad there was a rollcall bearman. There haven't been too many of those lately, I miss seeing who is going to what (I'm a stalker, yes)

was mostly there to see drug rug, who were pretty fun. that first song they played, "day i die," is just absurdly catchy.  right?  i could be wrong but i thought i saw bnyce0d or whatever his name is rocking out to them up front. hadn't seen the rosebuds in a few years, very solid. they don't have that drummer who makes horrible drummer faces anymore, unfortunately. he was an absolute riot.

 that was my third time seeing blond redhead this year.  as i wrote in my review of the LCD/AF show on randalls island, BR have become a not-to-be-missed band for me.  the first 15 minutes of the show were absolutely sublime, and the last 10 + the encore were pretty solid too.  the middle half of the show was more hit-or-miss, becoming a little too abstract for me at times.  the drummer was incredible, and what's-her-name did this sexy little dance while playing the keyboards that totally worked for me.
 
 DC is truly blessed for having the 930 club.  IMO, the club is one of the best places anywhere to see a live show.  BR was my first time back in almost five months... i felt like i was home.  gawd i love the 930.
