Did any of you get your coffee from Donald Brashear this morning?

job shaming isn't good journalism, it ain't even decent humanity.  what trash newspapers.

Quality board fodder though, to be fair.

true, the overlap between online discussion and decent humanity tends to be pretty thin...

I haven't followed the NHL for 40 years, but this graphic is pretty cool.

so seattle's new nhl franchise has been named: How Seattle's NHL team became the Kraken

inevitably, the fans will be known as krak-heads, their new arena will be called the krak-house, etc...

their look has gotten a surprising amount of love online... folks are down with the branding.

my boss is a huge hockey fan and has season tickets.  he's really upset they didn't call themselves the Metropolitans, so they could claim a Stanley Cup (1917).  i agree with the decision to go with something more, uh, modern and marketable.

I heard the NHL very strongly asked them not to pick that because they did not want to rename a division.

I think the dark sweaters are absolutely incredible looking and this branding is out of the park. I love it.
