Yes, I'll be seeing the best country show in town this weekend.

That's Robbie Fulks at Jammin Java.

I fly back from the Bay Area on Saturday. If I'm not tired, I'm leaning towards going to Smog at IOTA...

Well since III doesn't consider himself pure country you're probably right on that one, besides the less pretentious indie dweebs at his show the better so thanks for passing on it.

Robbie Fulks is great and all, but Hank III puts the dick in dixie, so I'll be there.

Weekend is shaping up like this:

10/06 The Sadies & Heavy Trash at the Ottobar

10/07 Hank III at the Black Cat

10/08 Robbie Fulks at Jammin Java

 ......and then he rested.....

The Hank III crowd at the Richmond show this Summer brought out mostly the white trash NASCAR loving tobacco spittin' crowd, alot of whom were over 40.  It was kinda awesome.  I'm looking forward to see what kind of crowd he draws in DC.

Yes, but they are running for US Senate seats. So whoever VA elects will totally affect you and everyone else.
