the new arab strap is awesome. i think its their best album personally. i was really glad they played so many songs off it when i saw em back in late april.

I've had a thing the last couple of days for the new Yo La Tengo song Don't Have To Be So Sad. It's not the words, it's how it sounds. Very pleasing.

I was horribly unimpressed and downright annoyed by their show (featuring many of the new songs), so I can only guess I wouldn't like the new album.

Not a great album, I agree...a few good songs, but doesn't cover any new ground.  My top 3 favorites of theirs are I Can Hear the Heart Beating As One, And Then Nothing Turned Itself Inside Out, and Painful.  I also dig some of the stuff of Genius + Love = Yo La Tengo.  This falls further down the list though.
