The wife and I will be there. Checked weather.com yesterday...they're saying 99º on Sunday!!! Only show I knew about on Friday was Les Claypool, but I think it's sold out.

The Lolla site is broadcasting  live  courtesy of the blue room, currently featuring Spoon. Next up should be the Dandys.Has anyone been watching this? I just stumbled upon it.

Though it was 101, it really didn't feel that bad. Lots of shade was to be had, the cooling buses were great, etc.

The Dandy Warhols were f'ing incredible! it was def. hot out there, but id pay any amount of money to see anton, matt hollywood and the dandy warhols all playing! that was by far the highlight of lolla for me.

BJM were great too! of course, listening to anton going off on dashboard confessional playing was hilarious.

only bad thing.. stages were too close together, that you could hear every other band playing at the same time.

and hard-fi played an awesome set! and pete spinning at double doors, very nice!   :D

Live from Lollapalooza:
 Some Massacre moments:
-Brian Jonestown had the huge honor of being introduced by the man himself, Perry Farrell. Perry praised singer/songwriter Anton Newcombe and BJM proceeded to rip a 45-minute set on the Parkways Foundation Stage.(from lolla site)
An hour-by-hour report/ blog diary, from
 USAToday.com

-Members of the Brian Jonestown Massacre (stars of the movie DiG!)
 being shuttled
via golf cart to another area of the fest.

 - Lead singer Anton Newcombe raising his beer can to toast the
 mothers of the world
 - Newcombe had a few choice words for Dashboard Confessional, who
 could be
 heard playing across
 the field. "You
can go (expletive) yourself," he said. "Party over here, (expletive)
 you over there."

 - Newcombe continuing to criticize Dashboard Confessional, saying he
 would use the
band's photo as "birth control" and promising to start his next song
 "as soon as Jon
Bon Jovi shuts the (expletive) up"; and

 - Newcombe pausing to tell a "dirty joke" to the crowd. (The joke in
 its entirety: "The
white horse fell in the mud.")

The group constantly debated how long to play but ended up fulfilling
 its 60-minute
promise with several songs and two 10+ minute jams. Posted 5:30 p.m.
 ET

It was the Warhols who put forth the biggest surprise. In what could
 serve as the
perfect ending to the 2004 musical documentary, DiG!, the band
 brought rival/
inspiration Anton Newcombe to the stage and sang a tune by his band,
 the Brian
Jonestown Massacre. Newcombe and Taylor, who haven't shared a stage
 in years,
shared a microphone on a second song before Newcombe left the
 spotlight.
