Say what you want, but I don't think the lineup is bad at all.  I went to the Lollapalooza shows when they came around and had a good time at most of them.  The first one was one of the best shows I've ever seen, and I usually ignore festivals because of the obvious reasons.  But most of those bands I grew up on - or in the case of QOTSA or Audioslave - I grew up on the music that their members made in other bands.  I always thought Jane's Addiction was great live although I haven't seen them in over ten years.  And Jurassic 5 is one of the few newer hip hop bands worth listening to, in my opinion anyway.<BR>The show will probably have corporate sponsors, which can be annoying anywhere.  But who give's a rat's ass if it results in a great show?  Im sure Perry Farrell isn't overjoyed that his fans have to drink seven dollar Bud Lights, but what major festival that contains big name bands can pull off a nationwide tour without major sponsors, especially something like Lollapalooza, with all the carnival-like crap it usually comes with?

i dunno.  i adore jane's and porno for pyros, but the jane's reunion tour was awful.  flea was a terrible choice.  it seemed like i wanted to be there more than perry did.  best thing about the show was that goldie opened it, and his intense bass hits caused people near the speakers to vomit.  but more to the point, perry was way cooler before he did too much ketamine, got into trance and started talking to aliens.
