oh, no, they are so NOT worth seeing. i had forgotten that i was at that show too. i gave them 20 minutes and i left. i really tried to get into them but i thought they were awful. it seemed like a porn star wannabe and his two babes that were stuck in early 80's ny trying to get a gig at cbgb's and were too damn out there to be even be credible.

but, of course, that's just my opinion.  :D

I dunno

"* "My Apartment Complex" is the theme song for a new sitcom on Spanish national television, "La vida de Rita" (Rita's life)! "

Could be fun... I do like synth pop, remember I am 80's boy. Can I just pretend they are postal service?

Ok Vansmack....

I have no idea what we will be doing. Lulu isnt working today and I can finish fairly early. So we just have to accomodate you and Jadetree.

True, true.  The new material has more guitar anyway...at its best, think Postal Service with female vocals + late Velvet Underground.

I think Lily's wrong.  So there.

there's synth pop, and there's synth pop. there's 80's music and then there's 80's music.

just forwarning you that you might just feel the need to head to the back bar for a beer during their set. hopefully they'll be first so i'll miss 'em anyway cuz i can't ever get there at a respectable hour!  :)

i think you're being kind there.   :D

their description sounds fantastic on allmusic.com but doesn't exactly translate out of the ocmputer.

maybe they'll be infinetely better than they were a few months ago, but i'm damn skeptical.

Kerry Kerry is still played, they played it last time at least.... I dont think they played anything else off of that album though.

There albums have got better over time. [/b]
I think I'll go out and get Torino next then.

Once they resigned themselves to the fact that their audience consisted of me, my friend, their tour-mates and some guy named Izzy, I think they actually played a good show.

DISCLAIMER:  Walkman does not endorse listening to Parker and Lily.  His experience with this product was atypical, and will not be shared by all users.  If anyone is actually persuaded to catch their set, Walkman is not liable for any dissatisfaction that may result.

skirting the Parker Lily thing......

Mongo, they sell the albums at the shows. Last time they had them all for $10 a pop. Much cheaper than you will get them for any other way, unless you get lucky on ebay...... torino, disco Volante and Holiday are very good. Holiday is an odd EP collection of  torino and disco volante.
