so tonight is not only my first time seeing the nationals play (cool that it is the inaugural season, and the tickets look all cool) but it is my first live pro baseball ball game.  i've seen basketball, football, golf, but not baseball for some reason.  what should i expect?  are the national going to dominate the phillies?  or the other way around?  do certain innings primary become the "go look at the stadium and find the beer and bathrooms?"  just curious.

it will be nice to see rfk . . . in what might be one last time, goodnight.

I have a feeling Mr. Ortiz is not gonna make this thing easy for us this weekend.   :(

i keep wondering when he's gonna run out of those clutch hits....has to happen sooner or later i suppose.

i just hope, if nothing else, we can get another Varitek/Rodriguez bout!

I must admit, these last two years he's been like a super hero. I think if he'd have a better percentage of games at first base, he'd be an easy lock for MVP. Now the MVP will probably be decided on which team wins this weekend.

I'm hoping for a Varitek/A-Rod scuffle also, considering how easily A-Rod picked him up off the ground last year.   ;)

If he doesn't get the Bonds treatment this weekend it will be the Yankees arrogance that cost them the Division and possibly a spot in the playoffs.  And nobody's going to feel sorry for them.

I think Cleveland's got it easier, I don't see Chicago playing a whole lot of their starters all three games, oh wait, are we still all fighting for home field? I think Chicago is pretty comfy right now. Cleveland might actually sneak in because we're too busy beating up on each other. If the Sox take two out of three, chances are both of us will make it.......GO SOX...LOL

Only problem with that is you have Manny hitting behind him, who did Bonds have? Alphonzo? Small difference there. The one good thing is we'll be throwing a lefty at him on Saturday. I'm pretty nervous about Wang pitching tonight.

Well, you HAVE to know what the MVP is going to do to you.  At least with Manny you have a shot.

tonight is the game we HAVE to win, in my opinion. we really cant put ourselves in the position of

  a) we need to beat Randy Johnson

  or

  b) we need Curt Schilling to win
