tonight is the game we HAVE to win, in my opinion. we really cant put ourselves in the position of

  a) we need to beat Randy Johnson

  or

  b) we need Curt Schilling to win [/b]
I agree, you don't want a must win against Randy, he's been pitching great lately. But the positive is you have Mussina Sunday who couldnt even go two innings against the Orioles last time out. So tonight IS a must win for you. We'll have to bring the bats to win this one, isn't gonna be no 2-1 score.

perhaps

actually, if you rooting for Boston, this is THE weekend say "Go Sox"  because even if Boston can't beat the Yankees, a White Sox ass-whoopin' on the Tribe could sneak Boston into the backdoor of the playoffs again....and hopefully another series with the Orange County Angels or whatever they're calling themselves this week... [/b]
Honestly, I'm more interested in seeing the Yankees lose, than to see the Red Sox win. But I know nothing will irritate all of my friends that are Yankees fans more than to be prevented from making the playoffs by the Red Sox, which is why I'll cheer loudly for the Sox. The Yankees winning the division and the Red Sox making it as a wildcard will not satisfy me. Perhaps I'm just petty and bitter, but that's what the years of torture that I've had to endure will do to you.

Actually the odds of the second place team making the wildcard are pretty slim. Cleveland has to get swept. I'm just not sure that's going to happen they way they've been playing lately. A good weekend for games for sure.

Well, the Yankees are one up on Cleveland, so If they win one game, it's looking good for at least a wild card. But Cleveland has more to play for than the White Sox, but isn't Elarton pitching on Sunday? Oyyyy for them.
