Why lightsabers (GEEK ALERT) should come with a wrist st
« on: April 25, 2004, 11:44:00 am »
I just viddied PHANTOM MENACE & ATTACK OF THE CLONES back to back.  I noticed that Obi-Wan kept dropping his lightsword five or six times.   Qui-Gon even chides him for it.

Since it's rather a big Jedi no-no, how come the Naboo equivalent of Kodak didn't make a wrist strap?

Because the Lightsaber is also meant to be thrown by Jedi's at the oppostion (or at objects that could be defelcted at the opposition)  and you couldn't throw it if you had a wrist strap.

Since the problem only seems to reside in Obi-Wan, maybe we should focus on why Obi-Wan keeps dropping his lightsaber?

Even braver than that suit, you admitted on this board that you listen to Don & Mike. That took balls. Just be careful how you change your screen name.

(Yeah, I admit that I know who Don & Mike are, but only because I read  DCRTV .)

i think the wrist strap whould be an amazing idea, then they can carry more then 1!!!!they can have 10 attached to their belt for that situacion when one is always broken or knocked out of their hand.  it would also add new tricks!

theey can still trow it.  they are fucking Jedi, i dont think a gay strap will get in their way.  just another hour of throwing training and its all good.

One could also twirl it by the wrist strap, windmill-style.  One in each hand.  A windmill attack?

First lightsabres, then Darth Maul with a lightstaff.  What's next: Lightnunchakus?
