Avail and The Casualties

Who went to this show? It was pretty darned good I have to say. I wasn't feeling too hot at the beggining but the vibe of the place sort of took over my body. The Casualties had a seemingly amazing pit but I did not join for fear of upchucking on people. Their live perfomance skills are exceedingly awesome and pump up the crowd to the maximum capacity. I feel the same way about Avail and luckily I felt better by then. The main downfall during Avail were the people who were basically stomping on your heads like the bushes in Sonic The Hedgehog. The other crowd surfers were pretty cool. So many helpful and considerate people, which I have become unacustomed to after frequenting the Electic Maid. The whole girls only crowd surf principle seemed to work out quite nicely. I am always too scared that I will get trampled by another, MUCH larger, crowd surfer landing on top of me when all the guys are up there. Any thoughts on the show? Sentiments?
[This message has been edited by AvidConcertGoer (edited 01-19-2003).]

It is therefore shear chance as to which parts of their body land on your hand.
To some extent its a risk of being a crowd surfer along with falling to the floor and losing your shoes.
I would never condone the gratuitous and unpleasent seeking out of a crowd surfers fleshy parts, just for the record.

nah, he LIKES it when people cop a feel from him while he's crowd surfing. Just not for the young ladies who want to get in on the crowd surfing action.

it's easy to tell the difference between an accidental touch and an intentional grab. the latter will get you removed, the former won't.
if you wanna grope me, all you have to do is ask nicely.

I am one of the average sized girls and I am still usually atleast 50 lbs lighter than the majority of guys landing on my head!
I was there, it was definetly worth freezing my ass off in line. I'm used to the whole crowd surfer problem, being one of the taller folks in the crowd means they'll inevitably hit into me at some point or another. I wanted to punch the little son of a bitch who pulled the jesus walking on water trick by walking on the people's head. I swear he ran from the stage about 20feet back without falling, just stomping along as he went.
The cover of "White Riot" was awesome too.

yeah headwalking is a bitch. I experienced an exponential amount of headwalking at Hellfest, but I can't complain because I did my share of a shoulder standing during Bane.

the crappiest thing about headwalking/crowd surfing is when you are not at all expecting it and some Tons-O-Fun lands right on the back of your head and you crumple up and look like an ass when they're like "YEAHHHHH". or when the annoying skankgirls think the band will notice them if they fling themselves across the crowd in their shoddily made halter tops and wooden sandals land on you and dont even try to get themselves back up again. erkjglakjglajg. but no, im not bitter.
