Of Montreal last night
« on: October 10, 2008, 10:28:00 am »
They are not a very good band (with or without the theatrics) but I left feeling satisfied anyway after hearing the "hits". They played 25 songs. I'll post the setlist later...

 who else went?

he was up in the vip section upstairs... since i was downstairs i wouldn't have even noticed he was there, but of montreal gave him a shout out. even though i'm not a 'skins fan, cooley is a cool guy. that ram hunting video is hilaries.

I'll only be bitter I missed it if they played anything off Coquelicot and of course they didn't because I'm convinced that Kevin Barnes forgot that that album, the best thing he's ever done and will ever do even exists.

pizzaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
it was an interesting show.  I loved how they had two drummers.  I could actually see them. sweet.
there was just so much random stuff going on. weird people dressed like crazy fans ..ahhaha..and throwing glitter and feathers. all the costume changes.  I loved the video during gallery piece.

i actually don't know too much of their earlier stuff so i was bored with those songs.  hissing fauna and the new album are my favs.

I would be interested in seeing the setlist. I'm going 11/1 in Richmond.

Who wants to cum 200 times? Maybe over the period of a year...

I like the new album alright.

I just prefered when the music itself was theatrical as opposed to now where the music and theatrics are separate entities.

I'll still continue to listen to the studio stuff which is solid but their live show just isn't centered around the music enough for me and has been way too sloppy each time I've seen them because they were too concerned with putting on a big elaborate stage production and not concerned enough with being musicians.

This would be a hilarious spin-off topic. How many times have you came in the last 12 months?

I question what percentage of the board would be honest, though.

Is there a break-down between self-initiated or not?
