$100 says you wouldn't say that if they were stumping for the republicans.  the true insult here is that they're on obama's side. [/b]
Wow.  You're ACTUALLY VOTING FOR PALIN?! [/b]
if you think i'm a supporter of the current republican ticket, you haven't been paying attention.  or was your question directed at julian?

there are still that many whiggers with sideways hats walking around? [/b]
If you find the word 'whigger' offensive you're WAY too uptight [/b]
I guess I'm just an old fuddy duddy, all uptight and sensitive.

Try using that term in front of a group of African American people you don't know and see how it turns out for you. Then come back here and tell me I'm uptight.

Maybe I'm wrong, maybe it's not an offensive or racist term...

This according to Wikipedia: The term most likely stems from a portmanteau of the word white and the derogatory term nigger. The word is considered offensive by some because of its similarity to nigger in addition to reflecting stereotypical notions about urban blacks.

I'm a white guy who's never really earned that label so I wouldn't really be the judge. Maybe there's someone more qualified than me to answer this question.

your vitriol backs my point... if they were coming to richmond to promote the embarrassing joke that is the republican ticket, you would have been all for it.  if they could fill a venue full of right-wingnuts and get local excited about the old man and the unqualified princess, you would not be complaining.

GOP & indignation really do go well together, don't they?

Obama's experience as a Constitutional Law professor at the University of Chicago is underappeciated.  While its doesn't in itself qualify one for leadership, it demonstrates a depth of thought and more importantly a depth of mastery of the foundation of what America is - the Constitution -  which I think is crucial for a leader here at any time, and particularly after a time where we have lost the plot.

. . . and who doesn't like the Beastie Boys??

No, I can disagree with something on two separate points both with their own merit. I was the biggest John Kerry supporter out there, but I took a similar stand against the Vote For Change concerts, because if the only reasons Pearl Jam and REM wanted to play near me was because I was in a swing state, then they can go shove off.

I agree with your assessment of Obama, but I hate the Beasties "Boys".

But then again, I'm as old as the Beastie "Boys", and am no longer a boy, so find it hard to listen to kids music made by three middle aged "boys".

ok . . . shadrach was correct.  i asked three black people about whiggers.  and even though they found the term amusing and annoyingly true, they all agreed that it was racist.
