Renton007: You don't hear any Fiona Apple? I hear it in the pounding chords on the piano, deeper voice (neither are sopranos) and the tormented/put-up-on lyrics. Again, I just heard the one song but that was the vibe that came through.
While those are all valid points, they're also all general points that could apply to 1/3 to 1/2 of all female solo singer-songwriter type artists.
