No idea.  I think the last "new" Bob Seger song I've heard was "Like A Rock".

Someone on the Drive By Truckers message board listed Bob Seger as one of their top albums of the year for 2006...

Of course the same person also listed Jimmy Buffet and Taylor Hicks as honorable mentions.

I don't know, I think it was a guy. I wish I still had the entire list (it's an email forum), but I deleted it. It was quite funny, if you're a music snob.

If I knew for certain that "Shakedown" was going to be in the set, I'd consider it.

bob seger from 1969-1973 trumps every single hyped-up indie-rock band of the last few years. seriously. post-1973 is another story...

I had no idea this show was happening.  Is he really popular enough still to play Verizon?

Honestly, I do love Night Moves.

One of my favorite live albums:

If you're collection doesn't include Seger, it needs some checking.

Sidenote, one of the best uses of song in TV was a Bob Seger song in the Wonder Years - "We've Got Tonight" in the episode "The Accident" where Winnie Cooper breaks her leg.

We went to a shopping mall
And laughed at all the shoppers
And security guards trailed us to a record shop
 We asked for Mojo Nixon
They said he don't work here
We said if you don't got Mojo Nixon then your store could use some fixin
