Honestly? I think it is clear that all professional road cyclists rely on some sort of illegal performance enhancement. It is impossible to trace pumping your own red blood cells back in..... for instance.

I doubt Armstrong dopes....I also doubt (and hope) he doesn't make it six. I would like him to stay within the group who won it five times...I'd like to see Tyler beat Lance, if he can stay on his feckn bike for a change that is. I'd also like a European win it seeing as it's really a European sport. If it weren't for Lance doodles wouldn't give a toss about le tour.

Ullrich deserves this win.  That's all I can say.

They're on cobblestones right now.  Very exciting-- lots of crashes and bikes breaking down.

And on that note-- why is it everyone points to cyclists for "doping"?  What about all the other sports?  Isn't it possible that folks are just good?

You lot are nuts if you think cyclists do not dope. How many team doctors have been caught with syringes? Why did they impose a maximum heamatocrit level, if doping isnt taking place?

Doping even filters down to the local club level.....

I'm pretty clear on what steroids do to enchance performance, but what exactly is doping and how does it help?

Doping is more common in cycling than any other sport no question.

Ullrich is probably more deserving to win than anyone seeing as he's been Armstrongs bridesmaid for the last few years. But a part of me would like to see Tyler doing Subaru commercials for a change, and he doesn't seem to be nearly as much an arrogant bastard as Lance....the media has also killed the Lance Armstrong thing for me. I still admire him for all he's been through and what he's achieved, but just sick to the back teeth of seeing his face all over the friggin place. As usual, the American media has run him into the ground.

Why yes they are...but we're not talking about doodle track athletes at the moment.

Nope, not at all.

And by the way-- the Gaps (popup window) and audio together give a fine picture of what's up.  Mayo's basically out of it-- had trouble with his bike and had to sprint back into the pack today.  They're saying CANCELLARA will prolly take the yellow after today...

OK....I've learned that the term doping covers all performance enhancing techniques....roids, stimulants etc.

How is it beneficial to recycle your own red blood cells?
