i love how they presented this both sets of this show, the initial acoustic set and then the big fuck-you balls-out plugged-in set

 you have to turn the volume up really loud, but you can definitely hear bob say "PLAY IT FUCKING LOUD!" to the Band after the judas comments and a second before kicking into "like a rolling stone" ... spine-tingling moment ... i also love his sneering "i don't belieeeve you, you're a LIAR" response to the heckler who said he'll never listen to him again

 it was great being able to see video footage of this moment in "no direction home"

 anyway, just an amazing historical document, and the music is so great [/b]
upon further reflection, i was thinking about the bootleg series vol. 4 (1966 royal albert hall show) ... been listening to way too much dylan lately   ;)

 speaking of which, i've been digging through this "tree with roots" bootleg that compiles all the available and unadulterated basement tapes, it's a good listen:

Burning Star Core - Challenger

 Nice, easily digestable drone-based composition so far. Nothing like anything else I've heard from him.

 Ok...I spoke too soon.  :)

James Blackshaw - Litany of Echoes

 Beautiful and relaxing yet cerebral and engaging classical guitar/piano compositions that have you wishing they'd go on forever.

New eMusic haul last night.  First on the list:

   <img src="http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/61amWvtCuOL._AA240_.jpg" alt=" - " />

 Pretty good so far.  I still think I prefer Paul being the singer, but the new guy is definitely growing on me.  This might be their strongest since the Street Warz EP.

 Not sure why, but I was expecting to hate this album, but figured I'd download it just to hear what all the fuss was about.  So far, I'm really enjoying it.  I doubt it will stand the test of time, but it's pretty good indie pop for a nice pre-summer day.

 Not really loving this one.  I got it based on a recommendation from Joe and the fact that they're opening the Times New Viking show.  I could see them maybe pulling this off live, but on record, it's a little too Desaparecidos for my liking.

Bill Cosby - Badfoot Brown & The Bunions Bradford Funeral & Marching Band

 Early 70's jazz album with Cosby on keys; no idea as to who makes up the rest of the band. Sounds like it's all improvised music so far.
