that's certainly a possible outcome, but TBD if trumpism is transferable to anyone else.  it's a cult of personality, not of ideas.  the most obvious stand-in for trump right now is vance... who hasn't been entirely embraced by MAGA.  big fat TBD on whether he'd be able to fill donold's shoes.  maybe there will be a schism, like in islam after the prophet died?

I've always felt that 'Trumpism' only works with Donald and there has been yet to be another person who can fill that role to his base
I think Vance has about as much pull as Pence...which is not much.  But Vance is a little better with the snark than Pence, so I think his base might like him a little bit more

But I do think if he was killed in something like this, it might be enough to get his base to support Don Jr?  Jez I hope that scenario doesn't happen
