catching up on my 07 releases:
   <img src="http://g-ec2.images-amazon.com/images/G/01/ciu/0e/83/7d0d793509a093121adf2110.L.jpg" alt=" - " />

 [panda bear - "person pitch"]

 holy shit is this great ... i have all the animal collective albums and "young prayer", and i like a lot of the stuff, but i feel like they've never really hit anything out of the park ("who could win a rabbit" was a glimpse of it) ... this album is pretty much a perfect distillation of everything animal collective and him have been trying to do the last few years ... most tracks hit the pop sweet spot on so many levels, but "bros" is the standout ... the first part of "good girl / carrots" reminded me a little of the brian eno's / david byrne's "my life in the bush of ghosts" with the polyrhythmic beats and tape splicing
   <img src="http://g-ec2.images-amazon.com/images/I/61IPAfsjlIL._SS500_.jpg" alt=" - " />

 awesome, but not as transcendent as some are calling it ... a solid 4/5 stars
   <img src="http://g-ec2.images-amazon.com/images/I/41wqx1%2BMxQL._SS500_.jpg" alt=" - " />

 talk about hitting it out of the park ... wow ... i'm completely biased on this one, but i think butch vig's production really works on this and that they managed to keep a lot of what made them special early on ... and it's always great to see a kid you grew up with doing this well
   <img src="http://ec1.images-amazon.com/images/I/612x%2BUIlKLL._SS500_.jpg" alt=" - " />

 very solid, nothing groundbreaking, but a sturdy album from a band who looks like they're in it for the long haul

goddamn, someone uploaded the BR album for me and I lost it on my computer.  I need to go looking for it, I'm dying to check it out.

 but I'm listening to Voltaire's new Ooky Spooky non-stop

The Pigeon Detectives "Wait for Me"

 Recommended if you like the Fratellis. Same deal here of recycled Libertines tempos, Franz choppy guitars, and Arctic Monkey themes.

 shows what some noise can do to some relatively schlocky songs ... reminds me a little bit of Hope of the States (where did those guys go?)

 smackie: i have the feeling you'd like these guys, you can get the album on emusic

 wow, this is great ... like the best elements of trance stripped of a lot of the cheeze ... i don't know that much about electronic music, but this blows tiesto and van dyke and the rest out of the water

Two excellent choices Mr. Nakatestes. I prefer Gone to Guitars.  I listened to Willie Nelson's Spirit a few weeks ago. If you haven't heard it I would recommend checking it out.
