Admittedly, I haven't seen them in a few years, and just realized that the one girl left.  But pianos?  And singing??  And song-structure???  This disc is a pretty awesome step-forward.

Still, these gals and guy were brutally entertaining as a trio that seemingly improvised everything.

Even as a duo, all the cdr's they put out prior to Boss and the shows they played were all improvised. I'm very curious as to what to their shows consist of now.

Wolf Eyes - Black Wings Over The Sand. Nowhere near as abbrasive as and much more restrained than their other stuff but still as deliciously fucked up. This has to be as evil as ambient music gets.

Good stuff above.

My Led Zep phase seems to be lasting about 20 years.

 Listening to this now:

 Notable for me because,

*I wouldn't make many changes to the track list, and
 *The Remastering!

The mix has always been super bad on the cds. This is better. Much better.

I'd still like to hear Bonham a little higher & heavier (Levee Breaks should thump) but it's a HUGE improvement

This band includes the pedal steel player for the Drive By Truckers.

I really like this. Seen these guys a couple times over the past couple years and was always a little put off by the fact that it's just two dudes playing to tapes and a drum machine, but... I'd usually get over it because they bring the J&MC/BRMC sound and that's always cool. Big waves of feedback, monotone vocals, more waves of feedback. These guys and some of the guys from Place to Bury Strangers used to be in Skywave.

Avril Lavigne Unplugged from the Roxy in Hollywood

If you're on the fence about checking it out, she covers a Sarah McLachlan song (Adia) and a Dylan song (Knocking on Heavens Door).  That should make you want to click it immediately.  That and she opens with Sk8er Boi.  There is no better.
