Dude, I agree. Pleased to Meet Me then Tim then Let it Be is my ranking of the "great" Replacements albums. I freakin' love Pleased to Meet Me.

Gotta get this. I always flip through this book at the bookstore, but never could commit. Have never listened to an audio book before, but this seems like a good place to start.

i used to listen to audio books on long road trips when i was a kid.  mom would borrow them from the library the day before we took off.  great way to keep kids entertained/quiet.

thanks for this ... whole album seems really family oriented

early favorite: "the righteous path", sounds like a dead ringer for a neil young track

You're welcome.

As usual, I prefer the Cooley songs. Two of Shonna's songs are decent, in a less talented aping Neko light. Patterson's songs really aren't doing it so much for me on first listen, but I'm sure some of them will be growers.

Cooley just had his third kid, and Patterson has one or two (his daughter shares the same name as my grandmother and daughter), so family oriented could be expected...

Is that a controversial opinion to hold?

well, the eek was a touch of sarcasm, but i think "let it be" and "tim" are considered by the cognoscenti to be the superior albums ... damn the man, i'll take "pleased to meet me" over both
