Brand new Dwight, I've only given it a few listens, but enjoying it so far.  My interest in hearing was peaked because Brian Whelan formerly of The Broken West helped write and record it.  And one of my favorite Power Pop Artists Eugene Edwards is now part of Dwights touring  band on guitar.

i really really dig it.  kinda of shocked that it just grabbed me from the first song, first listen, onwards.  stellastarr?  i will go find them next.

Try Stellastarr's first album, which is called Stellastarr.

They traffic in the same sound -- big baritone-boom vocals delivered by artsy/angsty dude, vague air of goth and emo pretension, prominent guitars but complimentary keyboard textures, token hot chick, from NYC obviously.

ok, ok, i'm listening to their first album . . . and here once again is a band that just grabs you from the start and delivers quality song into the next one.  and i furiously wonder why isn't this band more famous and that is not fair but more importantly how did i miss them for what, five albums?  but then i start to realize they sound like the pixies singing together with modest mouse and big country as the back up band on the porch of some country restaurant, like out of that final scene from emitt otter's.  sorry, too much information just to say that i do like stellastarr.  actually i really really like them.  i feel like i owe you something, for pointing them out, really like them.

25-minute thom yorke mix

"The frosty, rhythm-oriented 25-minute set includes previously unheard Yorke solo tracks, alternate takes on Radiohead's The King of Limbs songs, unfinished Atoms for Peace stuff, and more."
