Ty Segall seems like the kind of guy who will pop up in DC more than once a year. Jay Reatard was the same way. I saw him open for the Ponys and then just a few months later for Meat Puppets, and there was another set in this time period that I missed, and then he died. But I'll bet Ty Segall will be back by this summer.
One neat thing is that often in the weeks leading up to a show that I'm hot on, I'll listen to the band in question non-stop. Then once the show is over, I usually immediately move on to something else. But I've continued to play the hell out of Ty's records. Really high on him.
