Helmet; Betty then Aftertaste

I loved their run of Strap it On, Meantime, Betty, and Aftertaste.  I do not dig anything from the 2000s.  I hope their second set is heavy on Strap it On, Meantime, and Aftertaste, with little to none of the three 2000s albums.

RATM "Killing In The Name Of"

This is one of my Top 10 "HYPE ME UP" songs of all time. That build up at the end. Classic.

Is it just me or does Zach sort kind of like Elmer Fudd when he is singing? :)

Those 2000's albums are pretty bad. I dunno if I would even call them Helmet albums....more like Page Hamilton and friends haha. "Size Matters" has some good songs on it though.

Raffi LP More Singable Songs

nice to know Dan "Daniel" Lanois got his start recording Raffi!

who could have foretold in 1976 that he'd go on to work with just about everyone including U2, resuscitate Bob Dylan's career with Oh Mercy and Time Out of Mind...

and play DC two nights ago..

Blaqstarr - Hands Up Thumbs Down
Filmed in Baltimore by Lotfy Nathan, the director of 12 O?Clock Boys.  This is probably the greatest song and video ever made.

The board has inspired me to be on a David Bowie/Ride listening kick this week.

Super Furry Animals side projects

Pale Blue Dots - Huw 'Bunf' Bunford guitarist - https://www.facebook.com/pages/The-Pale-Blue-Dots/439785112763676

The Earth - Dafydd Ieuan drums with Mark Roberts of Catatonia  http://theearthearthearth.com/

i love that pale blue dots stuff. bunf had been quietly dropping more and more classic songs on recent sfa albums but i think hes just starting to really develop his own style. lots of batshit takes on elo in there to my ears. shame its getting next to no attention. itll be interesting to see what he comes up with whenever he starts writing with gruff again

sfa's my favorite band so i want them back together as soon as possible but the side projects have made the hiatus manageable. have you heard cian's solo albums? i was really surprised how much i liked them. didnt think his vocals would hold my interest over an entire album.

i watched american interior last week. cool movie. even spotted myself in one crowd shot as well as one short interview.

White Ring - Black Earth that Made Me

This 2011 release is still one of my favorite witch house/dark electronic releases.
