Mors Silens - Call of the Nether Realm

I love melodic death metal like this.  It makes me think of Vikings and the old gods.

only about 25 years late, just discovered "The Wedding Present", enjoying some live shows from the late 80's.....

one of my favorites.. recorded almost 40 years ago exactly give or take a few days or not... about 10 years ago I found an original copy of this for $1 at Orpheus .. on Sire SASD 7020... such an amazing record... everything about it from Roberta Bayley's cover to the songs....Tommy's drumming..everything... Reading Marky Ramone's autobiography made me dig it out again but I always go back to this record which is perfection

^ the ageing and wear of that cover looks really cool.
i'd much rather have a slightly beat copy than a 180g pristine overpriced reissue.
but don't hold me to that. ..

definitely.. the amazing thing is that the record sounds perfect... I have a Portuguese issue where the cover looks much better but the cover is kind of flimsy and I never play it..

SIRE switched the catalog number when they got a new distribution label with Warner. .and they corrected the typos on the label "Beat Is On the Brat" became "Beat On the Brat" and they switched Blitzkreig Bop to Blitzkrieg Bop...  debatable how many of the original are out there.. it did not sell that well when it came out  so probably less than 10,000.. I guess that is a lot anyways...

I dunno.. does music heal? I think a case could be made that it makes you feel the pain even more and in that added "feeling" it can be masochistically delicious if that makes any sense i do not know..
